The Wm S. McCaw Company was established in 1913 at 320 Superior Street in Toledo, Ohio by William and Pern McCaw. In 1929 Gale A. Wilson went to work for them sweeping the floors. By the beginning of 1937 he had purchased the company from them along with Clarence and Othella Schutt. In 1973 Gale passed on the reigns to his son and current President, Gerald Wilson. The company moved to its current location at 1722 Madison Ave in 1976 where it has seen numerous expansions and upgrades throughout the years. The company has very experienced personnel to service the needs of the watchmaker and jeweler. The president Gerald Wilson, treasurer Peter Eckel and vice-president William Fust have all been in the industry since they were in high school while Secretary Robin Kamann joined the company more than twelve years ago. Newer employees are continuing to build the same legacies of knowledge and understanding of today’s changing market.
